    Heavy Games Meetup

Introducing our new Heavy Games Meetup!

Held on the 1st Tuesday and 3rd Thursday of each month, this meetup is designed for players who enjoy medium-to-heavy strategy board games. Whether you’re a seasoned strategist or looking to dive deeper into heavier games, you’ll find a welcoming table here.

1st Tuesdays focus on medium-weight strategy games, while 3rd Thursdays are dedicated to heavier, more complex titles. Expect games to take more than an hour, and come prepared to think!

Our location offers a wide variety of beverage options. OKC Cider features a large selection of gluten-free ciders, while Core 4 next door offers craft beer. For non-alcoholic options, Perets Dessert & Coffee Bar is also nearby. Outside food and pets are allowed at the event.

This is an inclusive event, and everyone is welcome. Please review our full Code of Conduct here: https://okboardgame.com/code-of-conduct/

  • Board Games & Axe Throwing

    Board Games & Axe Throwing

Here’s something totally unique! We’re teaming up with Community Axe Throwing to host a board game night where you can also try out axe throwing!

There are some good sized tables available for board gaming, and we’ll bring a bunch of games and have volunteers to help organize, teach, and make sure everyone feels welcome.

And of course, you can also throw axes at your leisure! If you’ve never tried axe throwing before, this is a great chance to learn this fun sport. On site will be a nationally ranked competitive axe thrower who can teach you the basics and help you learn to throw with confidence—no skill or strength is required!

Plus, there’s a big discount for axe throwing if you come to this event. Instead of the normal $20 per hour, it’s just $15 to throw axes for the entire duration of the event! So you can throw for a while, take a break and play some games, then get back to throwing again.

Note: Anyone is welcome at the event, but you must be 13 years old to try axe throwing. To be able to throw, you must wear closed toe shoes, and sign a waiver. You can sign the waiver online here to save time: https://communityaxe.com/pages/waiver

As always, this event is free to attend, and everyone is welcome. For more information, please visit our code of conduct at https://okboardgame.com/code-of-conduct/
